PolySoft Version 2.00

This document contains a list of new features (NF) changes (CH) and bug fixes (BF) in HAAKE PolySoft version 2.00. New features are displayed in bold characters.

PolySoft Monitor
No. Type Description
1 NF For Sheet die a new geometry 200mm width flex has been introduced (Sold to Michelin). This geometry is initially hidden from the selection box. It can be enabled with CST's Service toolbox. Use the feature Database maintenance.
2 BF When the Select Rotor dialog displayed during program start overlaps the speed or torque indication of the Monitor view an windows error message is displayed during terminating the software.
3 CH Dual Range Sensor activation Key changed in the Windows Registry.
4 NF RheoDrive 7 OS units are supported. (including Bitmaps with Thermo Scientific for all devices)
5 CH The number of used decimal digits for sensors in the Monitor View is determined by the resolution of the actual sensor. Dual Range Torque sensors will display torque with 2 decimal digits, standard sensors will use one decimal digit.
6 BF For all controllers the maximum set point value can be used. Due to some rounding problems for some controllers (i.e. MeltPump only 69.99 rpm are accepted instead of 70 rpm).
7 BF "Ghost" Signals of physically removed sensors removed from the graphics.
8 BS Log file thread secured in order to avoid occasionally occurring "COM Surrogate Error" during startup procedure (or scanning devices).
9 BF Exact setpoint ranges now possible. i.e. MeltPump OS accepts 70 rpm instead of 69.99 rpm as maximum value.
10 NF The displayed number of decimal digits in the Monitor reflect the resolution of the individual sensor. This allows to distinguish between standards Torque sensors (567-0100, 1 digit) and Multi Range sensors (567-0101 2 digits).
11 NF Support for new Metering Feeder, direct driven by CAN bus included.

 

Extruder software application new
No. Type Description
1 NF A table of setpoints can be defined (similar to Mixer Multi Step measurements)
2 NF For each step an end criteria of the following can be selected:
  1. Duration
  2. Value XX exceeds limit (> or <)
  3. Value XX is stable
  4. All Values are stable (Extruder has reached equilibrium for this working point)
3 NF For each step an average value can be calculated (with individual duration of averaging, beginning at the end of the step)
4 NF Evaluations can be defined i.e. plot pressure p-D1 versus Screw speed n.

 

Mixer Test software
No. Type Description
1 CH It can be selected, whether the calibration shall be done prior each single test or only on request.

 

PolySoft Application (general)
No. Type Description
1 NF In Graphics and Table layout dialog a new combo box is available. By mean of this box the displayed signals can be filtered. Allows quick change between measured and averaged values.

 

Cayenne Service Tool (CST)
No. Type Description
1 CH Docking OS Configuration only works with 4 zone temperature controllers built in. This prevents users form changing configurations of standard instruments (extruders 5 zones and Mixers 3 zones).
2 CH Internal procedure for address changes in melt temperature sensors changed.
3 CH The data interval for excel data dump is now be set in ms (rather than s). Enables quicker data transfer.
4 BF Connection for production database and Excel Controlled measurements implemented. For internal use in Thermo KA production.
