PolySoft Version 1.90

This document contains a list of new features (NF) changes (CH) and bug fixes (BF) in HAAKE PolySoft version 1.90. New features are displayed in bold characters.

 
PolySoft Monitor
No. Type Description
1 CH Honeycomb die corrected. This die type does not have a heating zone.
2 NF New die type PTW die introduced. This die can be selected, when PTW is used just with die block. This die does not have a heating zone, but provide a singe sensor port.
3 BF Torque calculated from motor current (no sensor connected) is now displayed as a sensor display (in previous version is was displayed as a controller, but torque control did not work of course).
4 CH In Device Setup dialog page Dies has been enhanced. Now 2 additional heating zones (called Bypass and additional zone) can be used. Now all possible 4 heating zones can be used when MeltPump OS is connected.
5 BF In the past occasional reviving of not died sensors caused the Monitor OS software to switch back to Monitor view. BaseCan is now more stable in recognition of sensor (specially TM sensor) heartbeats.
6 NF New device introduced Rheomex 19/20 OS to recognize Rheomex 202 units mounted on a Docking OS correctly.
7 BF Now torque values derived from the motor current (no torque sensor present) are available to be displayed in the diagram (Workaround is obsolete).
8 BF PolySoft OS did not accept 70 as rpm setpoint for MeltPump OS although no error message occurred. 69.9 was accepted. Now full setpoint range 0.1 ... 70.0 rpm ca be set.
9 BF The temperature setting dialog did not react as assumed in special circumstances.
10 NF The current Device setup can be printed, copied to the Clipboard and saved as a bitmap file from a new Context menu in the Monitor view.

 

PolySoft OS application (general)
No. Type Description
1 NF New Software-Keys introduced to install an evaluation only software for Mixer and Capillary application
2 BF Even if import of HB2 data files was possible in previous versions, the file filter was missing in the dialog to open the imported file. Filter *.HB2 files now added to the import filter.
3 CH Graphic transfer from main application to printout (and preview) tool List & Label changed. Previous versions used WMF (Windows Meta File) format. Changed to more uo to date EMF (Enhanced Meta File) format. This change should avoid occasional errors on Japanese Windows PCs.
4 CH Used List & Label version changed from 10.0 to 12.0. In the setup some DLLs are replaced.
5 NF In value read dialog new entry Gradient added. It contains the linear slope of the selected range. the units of Y- and Y-axis are used as selected. If i.e. torque is displayed versus time and time unit is min. the gradient unit is Nm/min.
6 CH Operation mode to define a range to read values, has been changed.
7 EX When the mouse pointer hovers over an element's icon in the Project view, a tooltip window will pop up. This tooltip displays the contents of the currently marked measurement entry.

8 NF The current table layout in the Project view is saved with the project. The order of the columns and column width can be changed by Drag & Drop.

 

Mixer Test software
No. Type Description
1 NF In Multi Segment Mixer measurement a temperature and rotor speed gradient can be defined for each step (Except first step). Temperature and rotor speed will be changed using the given gradient when new setpoint is controlled.
2 NF In a small dialog heating (or cooling) times can be calculated when gradients are defined.
3 BF Even if import of HB2 data files was possible in previous versions, the file filter was missing in the dialog to open the imported file. Filter *.HB2 files now added to the import filter.
4 BF Defining new evaluation routines (or modifying existing ones) changed.  In previous versions some parameters for maxima are not used correctly.
5 CH Some dialog texts have been introduced to translation table. By this i.e. Allgemein in Multi Step dialog ins now General in English.
6 BF In some rare occasions calculated energy started not with a value of zero.

 

Capillary Test software
No. Type Description
1 BF The selected distribution of capillary steps is now correctly displayed in the Job view (top left view). In previous versions log. and lin. or coins was sometimes mixed up.
2 NF Elongation viscosity measurements using HAAKE X-Die is now supported by Capillary software.
3 CH Volume of MeltPump internal value is used for volume stream calculation. Enables "Calibration" of unique devices.
