PolySoft Version 1.50

This document contains a list of new features and bug fixes in HAAKE PolySoft version 1.50

 

 

PolySoft Monitor
No. Type Description
1 NF New entry Save current... added to menu Measurement. This feature is also available via the toolbar.
2 CH Remote Control window remembers display status. It will only be visible, if it was visible when software was last time terminated.
3 NF The RheoDrive unit can now be started from the Remote Control Window in the software (Requires RheoDrive firmware version 2.1).
4 NF New entry Marker added to menu Measurement. It allows to
5 BF Calibration of torque (and back force) sensor corrected. Specially problems with initial negative values solved.
6 CH The entry Calibrate in Device menu is now also available via the toolbar .
7 CH The temperature setting dialog remembers it's appearance. When it was closed displaying the details, details will also indicated it it will be opened for the next time.
8 NF If a not initialized sensor (address 127) is detected, a message box recommends to us the CST software in order to assign a valid address.
9 CH Die type and geometries in database completed and corrected. All geometries listed in the price list are now included in the lists.
10 NF Alarm handling for pressure and torque alarm implemented. A new menu entry Alarm... added to Device menu (Also available via the toolbar ). All active alarms are displayed in a dialog. The alarms have to be reset from this dialog prior restarting the RheoDrive unit.
11 BF The display tool tip windows redone. A tool tip displays the properties of the corresponding unit. The RheoDrive's tool tip always shows the maximum torque and speed, independent of the connected measurement unit. The measurement units displays speed values of the rotor or screw.
12 BF The message text indicating an exceeding of maximum range values (i.e. temperature range) has been modified.
13 BF All icons in the toolbar will display a small tool tip when the mouse pointer is above the icon.
14 BF The fixed melt temperature sensors of PTW24 units will be named corresponding to the extruder zone they are connected to. I.e. if the sensor is build in zone 4, the name of the signal will be TM4.
15 BF Stability of Excel Data dump improved. In previous versions the Excel data dump (in miscellaneous situations) was closed without any chance to save data.

 

Mixer Test software
No. Type Description
1 CH During a Mixer Test the testing time can be changed.
2 NF Measurements can be copied and saved under a new name ("save as" in project view)
3 NF Measurements from other projects can be loaded with a changed name ("add from project" in Project view)
4 NF Measurements can easily be saved to and restored from a backup directory ("remove", "add from trash can" in project view)
5 NF Measurement files from previous software versions can be loaded to a project. MOM files from PolyLab and HB2 files from RC90.
6 CH In melt density calculation material PVC included.
7 CH Print Job templates reworked.
8 CH Data files in Mixer project (directory) now use an extension (pld?).
9 BF Changes of units or device setup (including rotor selection)  in Monitor are automatically transferred to Mixer Application
10 NF The printout of an actually changed graphic is possible via selection "Graph View 1" in print dialogues ,
is not necessary to select a graphic template (*.gds)
11 NF The project view shows set temperature, speed, weight and density of a test  
12 BF Changes of the width and position of the columns of the project view are saved 
13 NF The export of a statistic view is possible via selecting a *.sds file as table template ( export )
14 NF New sensors can be used (Conductivity C, Gas flow Q)
15 NF The energy at a calculated curve point (extremes or free values) and energy differences can be calculated and displayed 
16 NF The specific energy at a calculated curve point (extremes or free values) and specific energy differences can be calculated and displayed 
17 NF The automatically smoothed torque curve can be selected for graphical display (symbol: M~)
This curve is automatically uses for the calculation of extreme values (except loading peak)
18 NF Calculation of slopes and intersection works ( dM/dt ) 
19 BF Calculation of alteration rate and search for a point with a certain alteration rate possible

 

Capillary Test software
No. Type Description
1 EX First released version of Capillary measurement. It contains the following modes and hardware setups:
  • External Balance: Cut & Weight
  • Connected Balance: Cut & Weight and Continuously measurement
  • Automatic pressure equilibrium detection or Manual mode
  • Rod capillary
